# YMCA Community Hope Project

New Beginnings Community Operations partners with the YMCA Community Hope program. Community Hope is a community support program operating in 6 affordable housing communities in the Raleigh area. New Beginnings volunteers as tutors and mentors for the South Ridge Community located in the Southeast Raleigh Communities.

During mentoring time, students and mentors work through a literacy plan that addresses the students individual learning need at each grade level, beginning with kindergarten and continuing through high school graduation.

Community HOPE relies heavily on volunteers. Volunteers are needed during the school year to help with literacy development.
